Curate UK
About us
Curate UK, part of the Curate and Ourduty initiative, works to remove negative societal perceptions of mental health by fostering understanding and empathy through social media.

A key focus of our initiative is elderly mental health, which includes the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of older adults. As individuals age, they face unique mental health challenges distinct from those of younger demographics. To address these issues, we will adopt a hands-on approach, actively working to prevent problems like social isolation through volunteering in care homes.
Fact: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 15% of adults aged 60 and older experience mental disorders, with depression being one of the most common.

Our Aim
We aim to provide a safe space for elderly mental health appreciation. We recognize the unique challenges faced by older adults, such as loneliness, depression, and anxiety, and strive to create informative social media posts to develop an inclusive environment that increases social awareness and community engagement. Through impactful social media content and care home volunteering, we will facilitate a greater understanding for their experiences, highlighting that mental health is a vital component of overall well-being.
